About Your Instructor
Steven D. Smith, Ph.D., CMA
Steve is the lead author and lecturer for the UWorld CMA 11th Hour Final Review Courses. He teaches management accounting courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs at BYU, and has received numerous recognitions for teaching excellence.
Steve is an associate professor of accountancy and the Kristine V. and Randy J. Vest Fellow in the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University (BYU). He received B.S. and MAcc degrees in accounting from BYU, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in management from Cornell University.
He also earned the CMA designation in 2015, including a certificate of distinguished performance on the exam.
